Definition

This dataset includes plot level photographs captured from consumer mobile phones in the GRDC’s National Variety Trials across 3 seasons, and more than 100 experimental sites. The dataset includes more than 200,000 images of wheat experimental plots. Plot-level imagery taken from handheld devices can be used for vegetation classification and object detection tasks, which enables the computation of important traits such as fractional cover, the detection and counting of heads, and the identification of diseases. Since this dataset includes imagery taken at multiple times with each season, analysis of the temporal dynamics of such traits can be made from which GxExM interactions can be inferred.
